Listening to Andrew Cuomo

Is there any way we can put him on charge of the federal response?

Not to take away from other governors who are going great jobs (like my own, Tim Walz) but I like Cuomo' s delivery. We need some NY bluntness in this.

Ok that is her she was born at the same hospital as me. Yes I would take her also over Trump.

It is obvious that he is in charge of what is going on in NY.

BTW, how does a non-New Yorker react to his NY accent?

I lived in western NY as a kid (very different, I know)
Even though my family moved back to Minnesota 50+ years ago, I was recently asked by a newly transplanted New Yorker (from the city) if I had lived "out east".

It's the "Fargo" accent that grates on me. Fortunately that is rarer than people think.

Like Tim Walz, very hands on honesty that is seriously lacking from Trump. No bullshit.

As for Tim, I know him well that he does not BS anyone. He did not reach the rank of Command Sargeant Major on charm, he worked hard to achieve it. It takes LEADERSHIP. I trust Tim to put us first. Gwen is that way as well.

With a style that works for Minnesota. As you said, honest and no bullshit.

As a midwesterner have only known of him tangentially. He is calm informed and conscientious and the contrast with trump is shocking.

Was a huge fan of his dad like most of us here. I even had a bumper sticker in 1991 that said “undecided=cuomo”

Things aren't nearly as dire in Minnesota (yet?) as in New York, but Walz has been doing a good job of explaining what's going on and trying to stay ahead of the situation. I guess sometimes we need government after all.

I felt so reassured by listening to his words, yesterday and today. He was straight forward, and quite level headed. He had the facts, about the virus and plans.
