Instead he attacked the questioner. He doesn't give a shit if people are scared. Hell, he doesn't care if they die. More wealth for him!

One of the images of 9/11 that I remember is Bill Clinton on the streets of New York, comforting people, hugging them and listening to them. They are both caring people.

even with a few platitudes. But His Lardship found it threatening because the statement that people were scared implied that they had something to be scared about, which, to him, was an accusation that he was at fault. And that couldn't be tolerated. He is at fault, of course, not for the virus itself, which would have come here no matter who was in charge, but for his completely fucked-up non-response. Trump can't deal with any suggestion that he isn't doing everything perfectly.
