5. It was a softball question that any politician should have been able to answer easily,

even with a few platitudes. But His Lardship found it threatening because the statement that people were scared implied that they had something to be scared about, which, to him, was an accusation that he was at fault. And that couldn't be tolerated. He is at fault, of course, not for the virus itself, which would have come here no matter who was in charge, but for his completely fucked-up non-response.
