Now that the gyms are closed, I'm taking walks through the neighborhood. And, doing more shopping, since it's hit-or-miss if the items I want are in stock on any given day.
Rubber gloves / plastic gloves / latex gloves. Whatever they're called, they're everywhere. In the neighborhood, I think it's from dog-walkers who, after picking up poop, pull off the gloves and drop them wherever they happen to be, which is not near a trash can. At the store, I think it's from shoppers, having worn gloves to protect themselves from shopping cart handles, food containers, and money, get to their cars, load the groceries, stow the cart, and drop the gloves wherever they happen to be.
They are the new "one-time-use plastic bag" plague.

(16,829 posts)You can walk the dog a long way without going past a garbage can. So one lady living in a nearby condo bought a small metal trash can and set it out for dog walkers to use. She did this for several years, and even did it for a year after her last dog died. So one day she asked me to do it. I use it daily, so I don't mind.
It would be nice if the cities would put out more trash cans. Most people will use the garbage receptacles if they are there.
