These press conferences are getting to be like "The Truman Show"

Everyone watching (which Trump loves) and wondering, "How will it end?"

It's like we're all in on it and he's not. Everyone around him is staged.

Of course, in this case it would have to be called "The Lieman Show".

The Truman Show was not about an expert confidence man who is working to condition the population, (and confuse them) for an intended dictatorship as the outcome.

A shocked country in crisis and falling to its knees economically is a prefect setting for a highly manipulative scoundrel. It's a dictators dream come true, so he will continue to confound, lie, misinform, etc., while continuing to execute his ulterior motives and the pandemic will make it all the easier to accomplish.

If you have ever seen his baiting with graphics and slogans about Trump 2024 and onward, you should be taking that quite literally now. Maybe it is just my own confirmation bias being fulfilled, but it seems that more people need to see beyond the act he uses to get his way. It is actually very shrewd and well played, but he has had a life of practice and it is second nature.

There must be a better movie analogy.
