Dead End Street released in 1966 with video!. The lyrics blew me away at the time, and they still do. I am actually reading "X-Ray the unauthorized autobiography of Ray Davies" currently. Find it. Read it It is amazing.

(22,912 posts)From 2010, Ray talking about his songs, with wonderful video clips and music, mostly from the mid 60's "Village Green", "Arthur" etc. and then moving more recent, including Ray sitting at his piano singing snippets of some of them, and musing about the meaning he and others take from them. Just delightful,
