Been thinking about the Kinks lately...

All Day and All of the Night, You Really Got Me, Well Respected Man.

Tired of Waiting, Till the End of the Day: Set Me Free.

Who'll be the Next in Line? 20th Century Man, Apeman, Lola?

Stop Your Sobbing, Dandy.

I have been a huge life long fan of the Kinks (even have original 45 versions of this song and Waterloo Sunset)

Dead End Street released in 1966 with video!. The lyrics blew me away at the time, and they still do. I am actually reading "X-Ray the unauthorized autobiography of Ray Davies" currently. Find it. Read it It is amazing.

Gonna be watching a lot of them. Saw "Bringing Up Baby" on the Movies channel this morning. A masterpiece of a song, btw.

From 2010, Ray talking about his songs, with wonderful video clips and music, mostly from the mid 60's "Village Green", "Arthur" etc. and then moving more recent, including Ray sitting at his piano singing snippets of some of them, and musing about the meaning he and others take from them. Just delightful,

Ray Davies Bio5 But it seems there are other episodes, I see Bio6 in the YouTube side bar.
