What we should do now is what CHINA did

We should learn how they rid this virus...

People are ready now, they got their food stored for 2 weeks and are not going to events....

What we should do NOW... all 50 states should NOT allow ANYONE outside for two weeks. Unless your a mailman only delivers meds, or that policeman that enforces the order or a medical worker, no one should be out that could spread the disease or catch it.

We are fighting TIME.

If violators are caught, then we should detain them in special cells and force them to quarantine.

This is War.... not a right to gather.

The faster we do this, the shorter the spread will occur!

We are NOT living as if it 2019....

This is a depression era and we have to RATION your meals to overcome this.

Use common sense... do not cook 5 portions meal for just for you and throw out the 4 portions away after that 1 portion meal.

foods. I have what I need, but many people couldn't stock up because the shelves were empty. (I had to hit three stores to stock up because of empty shelves. This was 10 days ago.)

China or better yet Singapore or South Korea.

Trump wasted two and a half months.

I'm not saying we can't have some positive effect, but I don't see us avoiding a serious crisis.

Let’s take this:

“Unless your a mailman only delivers meds,”

So, no one allowed out unless they are a mailman delivering meds.

Reflect on that a moment. Where do these meds come from? Do they magically put themselves in bottles and get into packages for delivery all by themselves?

In other words, could you explain, in this “nobody allowed out” scheme, how these meds are getting into the mail for delivery, since, obviously, the people who fill and mail these orders are not allowed to be doing that.

And how do these people go to where they package the meds without gasoline? And how does gasoline get to the stations without tank trucks, drivers, refinery workers? And...

Those in pharmaceutical are in medical. As for the pumps, the store manager should be the only one opened with the locked door. Pay at the pump feature is practically everywhere and most uses their credit cards at the pump. Only essential work force should be out. Not the toy worker or popcorn factory worker. Workers and workplaces should have plans created for this. We should work on flatting the curve.

For the hundreds of thousands of homeless there are now and with more to come if evictions begin?

Does Trump get his interment camps for them as he was insinuating? That's really dictator food, but I guess it's for a good cause, huh?

Maybe we should also surrender all of our rights in order to fight this. I mean, it makes sense and Trump will take care of EVERYTHING after that.

Those are in high risk. Problematic is all I could say. No real right or wrong answer. Thought of the drug addicts on how they will fair in this. In any event, to stop the spread, institute across the country stay home shelters.

Big cities should allow the homeless to camp out as they already do. As for food... I would imagine food pantries are coming up with a way to feed the hungry. I do not have the answer...if you have a solution.. please share.

No answers here, unfortunately. I think it is a matter of expend-ability.

After living in a tent for a while at my secret location, it was quite a benefit to be able to spend time at a very comfortable, University library with warmth, water, bathrooms, even free hot water from the coffee vending machine as well as Internet. Now, that's closed indifinetly and there is nowhere to go during the day. I was very comforting and stabilizing to have that after a night in the tent in the Winter, and even cooler weather.

You can see from that example how fragile the homeless situation can be and one way that this might disrupt someone's life dramatically. What seem to be little things to most housed folks can be major catastrophes. The homeless will not fare well in this at all and any places they do go will then be vectors for spreading the virus among them.

The food pantries are getting far less donations of food from the major stores because, obviously, they are getting cleaned out often and the donations are mostly expired foods that they normally throw away but give to the pantries as a way of getting free disposal, then they write it off as charity from what I understand. So, there will be much less food assistance for the time being and this is a time when it is really essential.

15. Your situation

Do not know what your situation is... living in a tent off-grid maybe safer than a person in the medical or delivery field. We are in times NOW that what we think are unthinkable to do, are what what we NEED to do. Our live three weeks ago is GONE for now. It may come back later, but this will be a scar on everyone.

My advice for the homeless is this.... its spring time... go to the park and camp out. Go fishing if you can. Nature has a lot to offer. Do not depend on the dumpsters. Camp out, learn a new trade. Grow your inner self.

The truth is, most of those homeless do not want help, just quick cash for their next fix or beer. Only family members can change those onto the correct path. Others in bad times, I get it... and you should start ask yourself what you could do for yourself. For now, get a way from crowds and live off the land if you can.

There are no needs for stereotypes these days because poverty and homelessness are not picky, and no, that is not the truth of it, it is an excuse not to give it. I don't drink or do drugs. I have met people of all ages and families and they were not looking for their next fix or beer, but their kids had a bad food habit.

I am more braced for it in my mid-sixties just from several years of living outside now. The health takes a hit and you get weaker from the stress, but you get used to it, but rarely do you get out of it. Where do you get your advice from, there? Have you lived it for a while?

Some of us have no family members and just what is this "correct path" you are implying? Are you on the right path of some kind in comparison? Do I and those folks and families simply need some rehabilitation to be like you or something and that will fix the problem? Losing hours, a job, then your place. No help. No security deposit. Rents are high and going up in many areas. No subsidized housing is available or being built. Do you have any idea how many working poor are living out of their cars or in tents and have no money to waste on those sinful vices that corrupt us homeless folks?

I am going to assume you just don't know what you are talking about.

I have no real answer...

Though I have lived in poverty before. I work in areas of poverty and I see the homeless problem firsthand due to my job. Every person has a story and reason. This is not the time to correct their paths.... this is the time to preserve lifes.

Stay away from other individuals... wash your hands before you eat or touch your face.

In this proposal for the moment, where are these special cells where people will be forced to quarantine? Who will maintain them and care, physically and medically, for the tens to hundreds of thousands who will be locked up?
