I may never go back to my job as a home health aide. Looking for a job at my age, scary.

I took myself out of work last Monday, unpaid leave, because management was giving no guidance to the workers. I still have not gotten an e-mail, phone call, letter, from them.

I called one of my co-workers yesterday who is still working. I asked her what is going on at work. She said it's business as usually, nothing has changed. No guidance, no oversight, no nothing, I will never go back if that doesn't change.

I called the county health department and let them know what was going on. I got the impression, they and the home health organizations are in bed together. They told me things that were not true. The simple truth is the home health industry cannot handle this crisis.

The workers are unsupervised, many will protect themselves, many will not. Some of the workers are completely useless. These workers should have been fired a long time ago. They won't fire them because turnover is very high.

The workers travel from house to house, many of the disabled are in and out of hospitals because of their health issues. There is no way to protect yourself.

Oh well, I will survive. I will fight to protect my wife and I. I will not let anyone put me and my wife at risk. I do well when things get tough. I am a fighter, always have been. Good luck everyone.

4. I'm doing pretty good. What I need the most is springtime.

We are all under major stress. Spring would help. They are predicting snow tomorrow here in upstate New York. Many people have it worse than I do. Many people are hurting badly. My wife and I are not hurting badly, YET.

Like everyone else, I am going to have to make life changing decisions now and in the future. It's stressful as hell.

He is emotionally detached. To him, some will die. They were collateral damage as to not completely shut down the economy. Those with resources will survive. Twas ever thus. Shoulder shrug. We’ll come out of this leaner and meaner. I’m president so I know my life is not in danger.

at this point. Our Daughter said the same last week about her situation. And yes, that seems to be the running truth about the Contractor's who replaced the County and State Hired Health Professionals.

Here Employer has Religious ties to a County/State Decision Maker who let's the Service Contracts. Her Group deals with Homeless and Vulnerable Adults and they are at extra high risks simply due to the environment in which they work.

the true numbers when it comes to Homeless persons or for that fact who are the Homeless. If you live in a major Metro, you have 10% of your School Aged Population Homeless,if you have a conservative Mayor or City Council, you are only getting half the population numbers of Homeless.

As the Daughter says,we have to fight the Chamber of Commerce as well as the Business Associations because of their Propaganda as well as trying to do their jobs with half the resources.

unpaid. When I asked my company about additional training or supplies I was kinda brushed off. People in my building were depending on us to keep things sanitized, and it wasn't getting done.
It's also a closed building with closed offices. Not where I thought I needed to be. Both my husband and I are high risk. We'll get by somehow. We always have.

I love what you said, We'll get by somehow. We always have.

I believe you and I are old fashioned salt of the earth people. We know how to survive tough times with very little. Good luck.
