My main question - why does the media - anyone? - get so played by trump - expect something new

There is a saying that to predict future behavior is to examine past behavior. There is no "new" there, and never will be.

The media, to me, is doing us all a great disservice by consistently (for over 3 years) playing a weak hand, letting him off the hook, giving him chances to be "presidential", and even covering him.

My view when he was mis-elected (placed into the office), to combat his extreme narcissism and mental illness, would have been to simply ignore him. But no - the media need their eyeballs and dollars....and this utter shit is what we get.

I've not once - ever - watched or listened to him. Why bother? We all know - and knew - what he would say, about everything.

1. They suck up to whoever is president.

I will never forget how Nora O'Donnell acted right before Bush was elected and how they all kissed his ass too. They just suck up to whoever is president at the time, especially if it is a Republican. It's about greed and power. They just want their cushy perks of being in media. It's all nonsense.

The best thing we can do is listen to that part of our bullshit meters that always work like a charm. Underneath it all, we know it's bullshit. All we need to do is remember, if it smells and acts like bullshit, it is. Trump is the epitome of bullshit spewer. Everything out of that man's mouth is bullshit. Everything. He does not even have a broken clock function.

I took a pass on it today as I have been sleeping less each night after a day of being horrified all day. Tomorrow is supposed to be nice out, I will go for a long walk along the river. I just can't watch right now. My niece is an RN in a large hospital in California and I am truly afraid for her.
