I used it today for the first time to prevent contact with the coronavirus, and may have done the opposite, so here's what I learned:
If you have a metal piece for the nose, make sure you ride it up the bridge of the nose as far as you can go without obstructing your vision. Pinch it in place. As you move around the face mask will slip down until it finally catches. So it should stay in place where you need it to stay.
I didn't know this and only marginally curved the clip. The mask was loose but I didn't realize it until I found myself grabbing the mask around the nose area to push it up again. Which means, that if I had the virus on my hands, I would have contaminated the other side about where the nose and nostrils are located.
If you don't have the nose clip I suggest finding a way to tighten the elastics so the elastic can hold it in place.
