Don't get me wrong. Most of them are making far more money than they could make in their native countries, but when you consider the hours they put in, it's far below US minimum wage.

is necessary to inform the public on what is being negotiated and why some Senate proposals are rejected. Trump is already taking credit for ideas proposed by state governors and claiming to do things he has not done and does not intend to do. He will spin any Dem rejections as bad faith by Dems in a time of crisis in order to put public pressure on Dems to give in.

So informative oress conferences on what Dems are proposing and why are important to give the public accurate information. They need not be contentiously partisan press conferences. Just call them informative updates on the negotiating process so people know what is going on.
