Michael Moore: PA Judge Dismiss Juveniles Case - Were Sent to Private Prison & Judges got kickbacks!

Michael Moore just Tweeted:

Pennsylvania dismisses cases of 2,000 juveniles who were sent 2 a private for-profit prison that gave kickback 2 judges who sent kids there.

Here's the story-a perfect example of how profit/greed/capitalism come together 2 crush even(especially?) children: http://mmflint.me/wJsYNB

The way I read the linked article, the dismissed cases were the original cases handled by the corrupt judge so that the kids now have clean records. I think that's a step in the right direction. Does anyone else read the article this way? -tg

the judge brought in to clean things up wiped out the ORIGINAL criminal cases of the youths, meaning they will have no criminal conviction on their record.

This was a positive thing and helps the youths.

The rest of you need to read the article over and over again until you get it.

The two judges who worked this scam are still in prison.

3. This was covered on the MSM when the judges were initially caught.

This article is following up on the affected kids. Good on this judge for clearing the kids' records. It hardly makes everything all right, but it's a necessary step.

5. Thanks for the update on a horrid case of judicial abuse. The article at the link left out ...

Some relevant facts. Like, what if anything happened to the for profit prison companies who did the bribing.
The article did provide the fact that two judges were convicted and sentenced to prison, but didn't say where, or
for how long. Facts, we need facts.

I was HORRIFIED! when I read about this a number of months back. There are so many things wrong with 'the system', but this episode was egregious. I can only hope that those kids recover. This should be front page, main stream news, if only to serve as a cautionary tale.
