The president touting hydroxychloroquine has, predictably, triggered hoarding of the drug to the point that even one hospital I know attempting to administer it as part of a trial is having a hard time getting its hands on the drug.

Now, if trump had come out and said, "we ought not be using that," I'd agree he's probably trying to make a killing off another formulation at thousands of dollars.
In fairness, I know it's hard not to suspect him of greed, but I'm not sure that's the case here. Personally, I would not vote for him or GOPers if they concocted a cure in his bathroom and gave it out for free.

Bayer donated 3 Million doses of the drug to the US Government. I doubt those have been used up.
