1. Is there anybody...

Is there anybody who didn't see that coming, eventually?

Dictators want to dictate. El Presidente will use this crises as a shoehorn to insert himself even deeper into our country and lives.

I am hoping the House will be able to stave that off, but I am not assured of it.

2. Disaster capitalism, where we see the levers of power increase for the state and out of control

for the executive branch. I admit it, its this kind of thing with a guy like Trump that frightens me more than the virus itself. Not to diminish how lethal the virus is, but there is no reason to trust him. None.

It is like having two diseases at once. One will be short-term, the other is becoming a chronic, wasting disease.

Yes, everyone might best be looking out for disaster capitalism, shock and awe, and, of course, the vulture capitalism that picks the bones clean and then grinds them into a powder in can scalp on the market.

You know, capitalism was one thing, (with its requirements of poverty for some and unsustainable course) but it may be a gnarling vicious, Fascist beast when the muzzle comes off and it becomes ravenously hungry and rapid for growth, more, profits, etc.

It is not a pretty economic system when the glossy, pretty mask comes off in times like these and corporations and the wealthy will certainly expect a privileged and disproportionate amount of the spoils from this debacle. We are not in that club and that's going to create a lot of dissonance and generate discord if this is not handled properly now.

It is painful waiting for it, but hopefully, our patience will be rewarded and we can get back to having a democracy again.

Maybe we can get a better firewall and anti-virus in place so another El Presidente won't come along and exploit our weaknesses. Maybe we can grow and improve from our tests and obvious travails. At least that would be an upside to this.

11. The slow steady fire and all that. We must try and in earnest. Our kids all depend on what we do

how we fight. It seems so overwhelming but when you look at it objectively, we do know what needs to be done. Republicans must be crushed out of their elected seats as much as possible asap. The next president must fight and push for Citizens United to be overturned by a constitutional amendment. If you look at how that polls, it is popular across party lines to get it done. Its a fight worth taking on and also begin to reverse executive powers, its too scary. Another type of Trump could come along and be even worse than him.

In solidarity for the GE!

Maybe the more obvious behaviors of the Senate will make their loyalties more obvious and stir up some much needed ire.
