For all of us.
We all could get the virus.
My Route 66 run in my camper van.
I would be on way now to Chicago to start it today.
A nice slow trip.

(11,769 posts)I suppose now, I would like to be with my boys, but they are both designated essential, so all we can do now is lots of long distance love. Their dad died in 2002 Ocular Melanoma, so it's just us three. We're very close. My youngest married two years ago this July. She's my girl! We are very close. I am very proud of them, but also worried.

(7,605 posts)I'm worried about my young adult children who work in the public, my diabetic mother, my neighbor who had chemo and radiation last summer, my SO who works at a hospital (data center), my other 92 year old neighbor and numerous friends who are not in the best of health.
For all I know, I could already have it and not know it. Some people are asymptomatic and never show symptoms. Some symptoms are only digestive issues and loss of taste and smell. I already have digestive issues and I still haven't regained my sense of taste or smell in the 51 days that I've been cigarette free. My taste and smell could be messed up from allergies kicking in a few weeks ago too. Who knows.

(34,136 posts)My husband and I went to the UK and pretty much saw as much of the British Isles as possible in two and a half months.
Right now we're adding to the house so we can better sort our stuff and have room for all the things we inherited from our mothers who passed away in 2017 (his) and 2018 (mine).
Future trips:
Drive to Seattle and Vancouver Island and back. That will be a big one since we live in Florida. I wanted to take the train but my husband didn't enjoy our trial train trip. That was going to be 2021 or 2022. Who knows when now.
Drive up the East coast to Boston and beyond, maybe all the way to Canada.
The other main thing on my bucket list is to stay healthy, enjoy life, and get all our mothers' genealogy research online.
I'm sorry you won't be taking your Route 66 trip as planned. Maybe next spring?
