Moments after Donald Trump approached the lectern to open the daily task force briefing on the coronavirus pandemic, mild panic broke among viewers online.

Where was Dr Anthony Fauci, the 79-year-old infectious disease expert who has become a regular fixture and a calming presence alongside the president?

Will the press in the

briefing room commit malpractice for the second day in a row by not asking the only question that matters:

WHERE IS DR. FAUCI ??? 🤔🤔

#WhereIsDrFauci? #WhereIsFauci?

A hashtag questioning his whereabouts trended on Twitter.

The alarm reflected just how much the nation has come to rely on the wisdom of the straight-talking doctor from New York as the coronavirus pandemic spreads, with the worst yet to come. For many anxious Americans tuning in from the confinement of their homes, Fauci is a a voice of reason in a time of deep uncertainty.

And his absence at yet another briefing raised was cause for concern. Had he been sidelined for contradicting the president? Was he in good health?

While I don't necessarily disagree with you, I still think the worry and focus on Fauci is a good thing.

It keeps up pressure on the WH to not play fast and loose with our healthcare experts.

What the fuck is FuBarr doing up there at a pandemic press briefing anyway? Just getting us prepared for their insane idea to suspend habeas corpus and whatnot? For a hoax that's going to magically wash away in another week?

being cramped up like a sardine with all those stupid ass Republican sycophants that surround Trump while he runs his stupid mouth every day. That is not a good recipe for safety right now. We know Republicans spread this thing worse than anything. You'd be better off cozying up to a cockroach right now.

Because he spoke truth to power correcting him over and over again. That's likely why trump has him gone for doing that to him. You know after the Dr corrected his lies numerous times trump was pissed , and had enough of him.

he should appear on Gov Cuomo's daily briefings where truth is spoken.

(They're live on Youtube usually between 10:30 and 11 am if you're interested.)
