My plea to any who will listen in the mass media.Show everything. The symptoms. The suffering. The intubation. The death. The aftermath. The blood-drowned organs. Burning bodies. The morgues on ice rinks. The grieving ones. Show it all. Make it real.
An unflinching, eyes-wide-open look at the devastation it creates may save some lives.

Seung Min Kim@seungminkim3hOh my gosh: The woman, 42, had been dead 12 to 16 hours when the police, checking on her welfare, discovered her body, Hawk said. Her child, apparently 4 or 5 years old, was in the home at the time.

(8,810 posts)is more a matter of 80+% of the entire country's media is under Republican Ownership..............
Remember on the run-up, and Iraq war where a major group of U.S. radio stations were BANNED from playing any of the 60's anti-war songs.................
Remember the U.S. Media showing pictures of dead U.S. soldiers during the IRAQ war to gin up support and to anger the U.S. masses?
"Privacy" didn't seem to bother them then, when it served THEIR interests.......
Just TWO photographs turned Americans against the Viet Nam War. The picture of the naked girl walking down the road crying, covered in Napalm burns, and the picture of the North Korean Officer holding a revolver to the head of a south korean and pulling the trigger.

(15,805 posts)that made me ill to watch while the family ate dinner to the sound of gunfire and the screams of the wounded. As a college student those video clips drove me to the streets to join protests and do anything I could think of to end all wars.
I've always said that the bodies of the victims of every mass shooting event should be shown on TV and in every news publication so there is no equivocation or denial about what the gun nuts are really defending.

(790 posts)Your thread title made me recall the Life Magazine issue from 1969 which displayed the faces of the American war dead in Vietnam. 242 soldiers lost their lives in one week. The pictures were a gut punch; people were shocked at the faces of the very young men, many of them boys actually. Often folks can be sleep walking when reality is unbearable. Those photos woke a lot of folks up. We must wake up now.

(46,166 posts)To help get away from the news a little bit each day I downloaded Stephen King's novel - IT. A thousand pager that got me through the past week. I'm a slow reader but I stick with the lengthy ones.
It's starting to warm up enough here to let us do some yard work soon. I could do some organizing around this house, too. Anything productive helps.

(86,536 posts)but I seem to be consumed by the news. I do go out almost every day and enjoy some of the bounty of nature I am blessed to be near but when I come back, it's still like being an unwilling bystander at Jonestown.

(10,749 posts)But none of that will register with the cultists. Its a hoax. Crisis actors. Movie sets. Those people get sick. We do not. They will ask if you actually know someone who died. Have you even been up the hospitals that supposedly overcrowded? They wont know anyone who couldnt get medical care they needed. Its no worse than the every-day flu. Whats the fuss?
Im telling you. Nothing will away them. Nothing.

(61,694 posts)diseased, dead people look so terrible that you don't think you could ever look that bad. People will assume from the appearance of the dead that they always look like they are having a bad day. Their minds will rationalize it.

People think violence and death are entertaining, it is not. It should not be.

(23,091 posts)By refusing to nationalize ventilators and PPE, he is condemning us to death and the country to chaos and the msm promotes this by not showing the results of his unhuman policies. I am just beyond livid and apoplectic and none of that does any good because Congress just destroyed us and Dems are going along with it.
