1. Trump has pretty much killed that wisdom

For four years now he's thrived by sucking every bit of air out of the room no matter how ignorant and foolish everything he says is, as long as he keeps talking perpetually it seems there's 40-42% of the population still biting... maybe its the "fool some of the people all of the time" crowd which is unfortunately a lot larger than anyone would like to believe.
