I have never seen such a concise and complete explanation of why these lemmings are willing to go over a cliff for him.
What he said was that this has been going on since Reagan and that the church has combined white supremacy with capitalism
in the sense that how much money you have is in directly correlated to how much you are favored by God. Jerry Falwell was one of the biggest organizers in the beginning. Not surprising his son is opening Liberty University in the middle of a pandemic.
I wish i knew how to link the tweet but I do not
He said is that a massive number of deaths will not faze them. Reminds me of the Lt Governor that was on Fox. I thought his comments had that kind of flavor.
His religious "adviser" is probably advising him along the same lines that Sexton spelled out. Fox is falling right in line by saying Opening the USA at Easter would be a "Resurrection"
I feel like I finally get it.

(14,725 posts)There are countless religious leaders who actually have a moral compass and will not put their parishioners at risk. There are also many people who will not put their family members at risk even if their church is open.

The virus' destruction will be completely out of hand by then. No way this happens.

(3,590 posts)Thanks for linking the tweet. I have read bits and pieces of this information over the years but never all in one place. Reagan and the shining city. It makes sense now. The tweet has been cut up by comments and it does not read as smoothly as it did a few hours ago.
