Outstanding interview (re pandemic) with Max Brooks on "Fresh Air"

Terry Gross recorded an outstanding interview with the brilliant Max Brooks, author of novels that deal with disasters and pandemics. He has done extensive research on how we could have been prepared for the coronavirus in January had the government followed its own long-standing plan. Highly recommended. The interview aired today on NPR.[link:https://www.npr.org/2020/03/24/820601571/all-of-this-panic-could-have-been-prevented-author-max-brooks-on-covid-19|

The tremendous failures must be made crystal clear as we suffer the fallout (tremendous as in the third definition on dictionary.com: dreadful or awful, as in character or effect; exciting fear; frightening; terrifying)

I am deeply disappointed, disgusted, and enraged by our government's woefully inadequate response to this pandemic.

This is one fucked-up country, and its faults have been laid bare, now more than ever.
