The option I like: We don't sacrifice America's grandparents. We prepare the economy for a big pause and then a big restart. We act like the world's richest nation on the tech frontier and get our act together to contain and kill COVID-19. Anything less to our everlasting shame.

They are the cause of a high percent of
federal transfer of payments,

Social Security,
Medicare,
Often on Medicaid,
Many on food stamps,
And other government benefits programs.

With them dead and gone we will experience a much more robust economic recovery, the stock market will bounce back much quicker.

(This snide remark from a 68 year old elder.)
