Is the reason Rump refuses to send more ventilators to NY state is

because they didnt vote for him and he is waiting for a red state who needs them?

In that case if you are in any blue state, are you fucked...?

It’s a liberal pipe dream, of course. But, even if it’s for show, Democrats on Capitol Hill think they have another way to supercharge the 25th Amendment—and 67 legislators on the record who support the plan.


But there is actually a lesser-known provision in the 25th Amendment, one that doesn’t require as much complicity from cabinet members and others likely in the Trump tank, which some Democrats on Capitol Hill say could provide a solution to Trump’s escalating erraticism. Specifically, section four of the amendment, which stipulates that not only could the vice president and a majority of the cabinet take such action, but the vice president and a majority of “such other body as Congress may by law provide” can determine whether a president is “unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office” due to physical or mental incapacity. So you would have to override a veto -- which needs the same 2/3 in each house of Congress as the direct removal by other 25th Am clauses.

The leaders of the GOP, and I use that term with disgust, do not really feel that they will be personally affected. And they do not care about anyone else.

At this point, we must virtually organize, and speak with, everyone we feel is still sane and convince them to vote in November.
