PSA on Covid-19. Not a single commercial for folks that dont watch news or press conferences. Did I miss them?

(35,299 posts)I know I haven't seen any from the government. Never thought of it but the government should be
running public service announcements for us people that can't stand to listen to Trump.

(17,252 posts)Did you notice who put it out? CDC or local hospital etc.

(3,266 posts)and I dont really recall - I THINK it was the CDC, but I am certainly not certain....off to fetch my 2nd 😊
ETA: Nope, just saw it again - local Seattle news channel chief medical correspondent - a Dr.

(11,431 posts)From Donald Trump saying all the things to do, wash hands, call doctor before going in, all the normal stuff, looks like it was made from CDC stuff. I tossed it.

(11,605 posts)It was just text w/facts & figures about who is most vulnerable and a link to the government website about the coronavirus. IMO it may be counterproductive because it could make people outside those groups feel less vulnerable and less likely to cooperate w/social distancing.

I dont understand why its different. People who cant afford cable dont deserve the warnings?
I only recently subscribed to Spectrum cable again. I dropped cable for awhile after Trump won the electoral college, angry at cable news broadcasts in particular for giving him constant attention.

(17,252 posts)Ive not seen them on cable or local stations. Of course the local news covers it. I guess I was just expecting something like Smokey the bear or that dog to come out of retirement and warn the public 🙂

Go to YouTube's home page, several should be shown: https://www.youtube.com/
Have no idea how these are being pushed into social media, but many should be IMO......
