I made a really good lunch today
Panther's Asian Indian scallops.
6 sea scallops. Pat of butter and olive oil to coat pan. 1/8 tsp tumeric 1/2 tsp tropical soy vey soy sauce. Black pepper small pinch. Small pinch garlic and onion powder 1/8 tsp Japanese7 spice 1 tsp truvia fake brown sugar. Or real brown sugar if you're not diabetic. Small dash of red pepper flakes. 1/3 tsp. Fennel seeds Sesame seed. A tiny bit of water. Like 1/2 shotglass full. Thaw scallops under running water. Add fennel, roast in the oil mixture. Add in water, tumeric and other spices and scallops *except for red pepper flakes and additional sesame seeds.* Add soy sauce. Cook down until water almost dissapears. Add brown sugar truvia and sprinkle it on scallops and turn scallops. Add the hot pepper flakes And the sesame seeds Cook until sauce is carmelized on the edges of the scallops and scallops are pale yellow.. I had this with pan seared Brussel sprouts mixed together with skinny green beans with butter and olive oil, garlic and onion powder and black pepper. And.. Stevia sweetened cucumber apple vingar salad. It turned out surprisingly good. I had to share it.

5. Isn't it amazing how stevia, monkfruit etc so easily take the place of sugar in savory recipes?

7. Yes
We should have never favored the sugar industry for so many years blocking competition from stuff like stevia especially when these alternatives existed and people tried to sell them but the sugar lobby interfered with these alternatives..

6. I love scallops..
sounds delicious.
Times like these is when new recipes are created. I had a couple of cod fillets that I thawed out and realized I was out of olive oil. So I sautéed them in sesame oil and the fish turned out really good. I served the sesame flavored cod over white rice with soy sauce. Thanks for sharing your lunch with us. |

8. This particular recipe works good on
Fish, chicken and pork.
Just tried it with scallops today first time. What's cool about the few red pepper flakes is the heat comes on very slow so by time you have come near to finishing them the heat comes in leaving spicy sweet heat taste behind. The vinegar cucumber salad clears the palate perfectly too. |
