Impossible to get through on the phone in Florida and their on line application is a user unfriendly monstrosity.

not as weekly numbers, that is. But the next couple of weeks will probably be nearly as bad.

Hopefully, the relief bill kicks in and people can retain their jobs and small businesses can maintain payroll over the next few weeks.

... even on a Sunday morning.

Anecdotal I know, its just there's no reason for companies to hold on to employees they can't pay until the end of April when the checks will start to flow out fully.

who couldn't get through their state's websites, phone lines, etc., plus the ones who wanted to avoid waiting in a tight line to get in the doors of their local unemployment office, being willing to sacrifice a week's worth of benefits for a better chance of not bringing C-19 home to the family.

My prediction is that next week's figures will be at least as bad. Especially considering that there may be more lockdowns over the next week.
