It's a widespread reTHUG phenomenon. It's also the main reason I avoid any political discussion with most of my relatives.

(5,604 posts)I'm not denying that under Obama, the unemployment situation hasn't improved. Statistically it has. But just pointing out, that with all statistics and especially graphs, what you see isn't always a fair representation of reality. In this case, if the jobs = happy times, then fine..... but there is always the X number of people who have lost their UI benefits and have fallen off the radar, or had a 'moment of clarity' and stopped looking for work, and sadly the Vast many who have found work, but are under-employed or with low paying jobs.
