I’ve always said Reagan was the worst president ever, but what he started has come to full fruition. We elected an actor and ended up with a reality TV show poser. Americans turned away from educated, intelligent chief executive to worship some clueless figurehead. Trump is putting a nail in the coffin of the US world domination. He will go down in history as the worst president ever.
Both these clowns capitalized on what many seem to consider patriotism. In their minds it’s that whole USA, we’re #1 crap. They worship the military while never serving themselves. They just want to support an international bully. Back when the Soviet Union collapsed many attributed it to Reagan’s massive increases in military spending. Russia couldn’t afford to keep spending the percentage of GDP on their military. I believe it was around 18%. I don’t know how much of our GDP is going into military but I’m sure it’s single digit. But there is a lesson there we could learn.
Trump, through his disastrous handling of the pandemic has led to a 2 trillion dollar bailout or whatever you want to call it. Coupled with the tax cuts this will be a mill stone around our necks for generations. At this point we need drastic action and I’m not against the stimulus, but it would never have been necessary if we had an average junior high student sitting in that office.
So here’s the playbook for the RW. Oh. We have so much debt we’re going to have to cut “entitlements”. We can’t raise taxes on the rich because they are the engines of economic growth, and we can’t cut the military because, you know, bad brown people in the world. Trumpty-Dumpty the 5 time draft dodger will play to the America First phony patriots just like Reagan did. Reagan was a terrible president but I had the feeling he was a decent man. Now we end up with a selfish, narcissist of limited intelligence who is a horrible man to his core. Maybe I’ll be wrong and the US will rise out of the ashes like a phoenix and return to...I don’t really know what. It’s not like the US was ever perfect, unlike the propagandists would have people believe. But we have really wandered off the path.

They pander to the public by pretending to worship the military, waving a false flag of patriotism while treating the actual men and women of our armed forces like political props.
Rethuglicans claimed the mantle of patriotic defenders of our national security and shouted SUPPORT OUR TROOPS while GW Bush sent them to be killed & maimed in a war of choice based on lies that turned into a colossal strategic blunder which has drained America of blood, treasure, and national honor.
Trump literally humps the flag while serving the interests of the former KGB agent he admires and takes the word of while throwing our national intelligence agencies under the bus. The Russians have been trying for 70 years to drive a wedge between the USA and our European allies, then Trump steps in and does that for them.
This treasonous POtuS worships only himself and money, yet tens of millions of American voters worship him as chosen by God to lead this country.
Outrage overload doesn't even begin to express how this makes me feel.
