(7,504 posts)I trust Katie Porter and others will be watchful.
The law has passed. If we want to change it, we can amend it, but we will have to get any amendments we want through the Republican-controlled Senate. How likely would that be? No, were stuck with the law as written, at this point, and we have to accept that something is better than nothing.

What are we going to do about it? Theres very little we can do, at this point.

(32,017 posts)If not, then yes. We could scuttle the law and get nothing instead of something, but I am pretty sure that the recently-passed law acts as an appropriations bill and that we are stuck with it, for better or for worse.
Please correct me if I am wrong.

(9,313 posts)A court that actually gave a shit about the law would compel him to provide the information Congress is entitled to until fully litigated. (i.e., Restrain him from exercising his claimed, and likely unconstitutional, "right" to withhold he has declared for himself until a final determination is made.)
