On a mild East London to me.
My partner is from East London and now lives in Essex. We argue about vocabulary a lot 🤣

He could not understand my mother, and she could not understand him. They were both scared of being left in a room together, in case one of them spoke! It was funny. Years later I visited with a man I was dating. He asked me why my nephew kept saying "Rice" I was puzzled, until I realized he misunderstood. Paul was saying "Right".

I can’t understand my boyfriend sometimes. And he can’t understand why an educated American woman can’t understand English. 🤣🤣🤣

Looks like the Royal Liver Bird from the waterfront in Liverpool. There is a big building on the pierhead in Liverpool. It is called The Royal Liver Building" Liver is pronounced lyver in this case. There are two birds on top, with palm fronds in their beaks. One is looking out over the River Mersey, the other is looking over the city. The old story goes that one is looking to see if the sailors are home yet,the other one is looking to see if the pubs are open. During the war, Hitler's propaganda announcer would say "Tonight those birds on the Liver Building will fly" My father would say "They will not bomb the lyver building, it is how they know they are over Liverpool and the docks." They never did. Liverpool took a beating during the war, but the Liver Building still stands. I just saw the initials for Liverpool Football Club.

Posted on her facebook page that all around the UK people go out at 8pm and applaud the caregivers. I've even seen a little video of the 3 little royals lined up clapping.

To move to the U.K. to start nursing school.
I’m thinking about it (but will likely end up in law school).
We’re both 42. It’s never too late.

At the other end of the world, they've been holding nightly rounds of applause for medical staff.

This is in midtown Buenos Aires, Argentina - where they've been under a federal shelter-in-place order since March 20th. Even police join in with little siren hoots:
