Going strong. She also has controlled Addison's disease. I know it won't last forever. I am savoring every day, too; loving her, petting her, spoiling her.

have been the best of all things "dog". I still grieve Queenie, a beagle that I had the good fortune of knowing when I was 8. For the life of me I could not imagine a pet in my life from birth.................til.

18. My parents gave me my first mutt at the same age

She was jet black - she often followed me to school. She was also a lab mix. Dad had his purebreds but my Sooty was the dog I loved. I owned three dogs - all pothounds - all adorable and loving.
