So, they were right all along, it was god wrath ! That would make at least 3 countries those kind zealous believers help fucked up ( with South korea and the US). I do not know if this is the result of poor hygiene or a masterful plan to hasten the end of times, but it is an interesting trend.

Note : In France we had similar issues with Muslims coming back every year from their pilgrimage to mecca with various ailment including MERS-cov, now it is the evangelists with covid-19.

I always thought Louis XIV was a fucking moron for revoking the Edict of Nante , but maybe he was onto something.

I guess for many of my fellow countrymen, this will confirm the dangers of churches & religions

Look at the timeline. This group met from 2/17 to 2/22.

The first COVID case in Lombardy was confirmed on 2/19. Day 3 of the evangelical meeting. If it was like the kind of events I've seen, most people were already there before that happened. A few more cases were confirmed on 2/20. On 2/22 more cases were confirmed, and it was recognized there was a problem. The virus was fairly widespread in Lombardy and had been for a while.

That's the day that the evangelism thing dispersed.

Unless there was a prophet among them, this could have been a major sports competition, a large rock festival, a Ren faire, or any other event where people got together in relatively close quarters. That it was especially bad because of the content says more about the views of the content than of the fact they gathered.

Note that the doctor and staff that treated the first case, on 2/17, hadn't recognized it or suspected it was COVID until they found out that the guy had contact with a Chinese tourist a bit earlier. The doctor came down with COVID, as did some of his staff.

Hindsight's a wonderful thing. Confusing it with foresight ... Not so wonderful.
