And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you

They love him saying he’s bringing a sword, not peace.

They love when he talks about turning people against each other (only a few lines later!).

They love it when he calls a foreigner and her daughter “dogs.”

They—and WAY too many “liberals”—love it when he gets violent with people over a non-violent offense( the money changers).

And they love the glee he takes in promising to torture people they don’t like—forever.

But keep buying the bullshit propaganda that he’s not as hateful as they are, even though it’s obvious that they hate because he preaches hate.

To my sister's credit, she said "Hell, no," hung up on her, then called their pastor to let him know what this idiot was doing. Pastor apparently took care of it, and now said idiot is no longer speaking to my sister.

Possibly life-saving loss under THESE times.

I know people crave interaction and community, but this is the time that doing what we do naturally will cause more deaths and more suffering, even if it is not our own. Jesus will understand, and if he does not, why the fuck would anyone WANT to worship him?

...to make as much noise as possible. People stood in their separate front yards and yelled and beat pot lids -- and let off steam, basically.

The way I recall the story, he's always been the informal social director on their cul de sac: first to welcome newcomers, first to suggest a party, knows everybody's name. So when he came up with this idea and emailed everyone, it was a natural. They loved it, and everybody agreed to do it again.

33. "Get me to the Church on time!" - Modern Love David Bowie
Mon Mar 30, 2020, 02:25 PM
Mar 2020

My brother, pray in your front yard, backyard, in your chair where ever, just pray! Some of us pray with music. In this song, David Bowie is sarcastically and humoristically saying through the lyrics of this song, that organized religion basically gets him into trouble all the time.

Sometimes I try to form a Ninja Prayer group to meetup 4 am sidereal time no matter where you are on Earth. Works better to sync planetary aliment and cosmic energy. Our focus is a loving kindness type meditation, where we send pure love thoughts to the WH where it's difficult for evil to dwell. It's the opposite of dark prayer.

I'm curious, how would a Budda or Hindu prayer be spoken? Thank You and wish you and your neighbors the best!

I know when to go out
Know when to stay in
Get things done
I catch a paper boy
But things don't really change
I'm standing in the wind
But I never wave bye-bye
But I try, I try
There's no sign of life
It's just the power to charm
I'm lying in the rain
But I never wave bye-bye
But I try, I try
Never gonna fall for
walks beside me
(Modern love) walks on by
(Modern love) gets me to the church on time
(Church on time) terrifies me
(Church on time) makes me party
(Church on time) puts my trust in God and man
(God and man) no confession
(God and man) no religion
(God and man) don't believe in modern love
It's not really work
It's just the power to charm
I'm still standing in the wind
But I never wave bye bye
But I try, I try
Never gonna fall for
walks beside me
(Modern love)…
