Hit him with Reagan’s “government is the problem“ bullshit that the Reich lapped up, and COVID-19 proving what a damn lie that was.

What I got back? “Like it could have been done better by Obama or the Democrats.”

And I went effing nuts!

I lit into him with all the things Democrats have done to protect the health and wealth of Americans going back almost 90 years - every one of which Republicans fought against. And not just at the time, but for years after and to this day.

Took me a couple days to compose. Had to be polite and remove the cuss words.

1980. I was working for a federal land management agency. Everything changed rather quickly. Downhill. We always were underfunded and had to scrounge for grant money and any pennies laying around. And it's a lot worse since I retired.
