Not Surprising... IRS.gov still has nothing on the "stimulus"

I wonder if anyone in the Treasury or the IRS is even working on this?

Funny how the govt was able to throw, what? A trillion at the Stock Market INSTANTLY...but the rest of us are still in the dark...

But why should I expect ANYTHING in this clusterfuck of an Administration to work like it SHOULD?

of Coronavirus is roll back of filing dates. That is on the site.

The stimulus is Treasury related, although some of the stimulus checks might be sent based on address or bank info on 2018 or 2019 returns.

The $ isn't coming from the IRS. It's not a tax refund or credit, until filing time in 2021. The it's a credit, so non- taxable.
Heard there's one possible twist: if one's income in 2020 is substantially higher than 2018 than in 18 or 19, some of the $ might be taxable.
Probably not a big thing given the limit sizes, and with UE likely skyrocketing, not many people will be affected.

He will then claim to be a hero later when he releases it (if he releases it will be irrelevant, he will claim it anyway).

It's his mo. He fucks something up to a 10, then brings it back to only a 7, and claims he improved it by 3 - even though it was a 0 before he f'd it up.

My guess is it's not going to be released because deficits.
