This chart shows the most critical shortages of PPE in Ohio

3:12 PM, Mar 30, 2020

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine said during his daily press briefing that the state is still in need of personal protective equipment, and he provided some stats to show where the needs are.

Hospitals very much need face shields, N95 respirators and face masks.

This graph is talking about levels of #PPE - what our hospitals have. The yellow shows critical shortages. We are working to double the current capacity. They need all the increased equipment, staff, and location.

State officials said that taking care of a patient who is in intensive care for a 24-hour shift requires:

36 pairs of gloves
14 gowns
3 pairs of goggles
13 N-95 face masks

Hospitals are working to double what they currently have in order to anticipate for a surge.
