University of Wisconsin Madison spring breakers spreading coronavirus from beach trip.

College kids from all over the country hit the Florida and Alabama beaches for spring break, and now they are spreading coronavirus all around the country.

https://www.al.com/news/2020/03/wisconsin-college-students-test-positive-for-coronavirus-after-spring-break-to-alabama-beaches.html

A group of students from the University of Wisconsin – Madison have tested positive for coronavirus after a spring break trip to Alabama’s beaches.

The university’s Health Services announced a “cluster” of COVID-19 related to a spring break trip to Gulf Shores. According to WKOW, the trip involved fraternity and sorority members who started their break in Nashville around March 13 and moved to Gulf Shores in Alabama around March 16.

UW Madison’s Health Service is asking anyone who went on the trip, whether they have symptoms or not, to shelter in place and observe a 14-day-self quarantine.

After being infected, they should have sheltered in place.

There are so many great places to eat and drink at like Cask and Keg, Ale Asylum Brewery, restaurants like Himal Chuili and tons more downtown. Outside of New Orleans, Beal Street-Memphis, and Key West, Madison is me and my wife’s favorite town to visit.

Friends of mine that live and work in the Florida western panhandle/SE Alabama beach area tell me there were tens of thousands of kids on the beaches stretching from Panama City, Florida to Gulf Shores, Alabama. Said they saw car tags from probably 20-25 states in that area from early March until this weekend.

like they would comply with that. But if all the venues are closed, that's a good thing. Madison was a really hoppin' place back when I lived there in the early 80s.

If Trump had listened to the experts Spring Break would have been all but canceled. But people have to realize that we had the leader of the country, an entire political party, and the most watch cable news network all saying this was no big deal and everyone should go about their lives until about 2 weeks ago. If they had taken this seriously from the start, the US wouldn't be the Coronavirus epicenter globally.
