(9,899 posts)There are so many great places to eat and drink at like Cask and Keg, Ale Asylum Brewery, restaurants like Himal Chuili and tons more downtown. Outside of New Orleans, Beal Street-Memphis, and Key West, Madison is me and my wifes favorite town to visit.

(11,443 posts)Friends of mine that live and work in the Florida western panhandle/SE Alabama beach area tell me there were tens of thousands of kids on the beaches stretching from Panama City, Florida to Gulf Shores, Alabama. Said they saw car tags from probably 20-25 states in that area from early March until this weekend.

(86,612 posts)like they would comply with that. But if all the venues are closed, that's a good thing. Madison was a really hoppin' place back when I lived there in the early 80s.

(19,066 posts)If Trump had listened to the experts Spring Break would have been all but canceled. But people have to realize that we had the leader of the country, an entire political party, and the most watch cable news network all saying this was no big deal and everyone should go about their lives until about 2 weeks ago. If they had taken this seriously from the start, the US wouldn't be the Coronavirus epicenter globally.
