1. That's nice. Too bad there is no hand sanitizer available anywhere in my large city.

The stores here are reminiscent of the soviet-era.

2. I have two bottles of sanitizer and a few packets of wipes in my emergency 'stash'

I keep one pack of wipes in my bag and one pump bottle of sanitizer in my car. AND I found a few pair of gloves that came in boxes of hair color. Some of the gloves were so nice, I washed them and set them aside. My family makes fun of me for doing things like that. Well, they DID. Maybe old Auntie Swisan isn't so eccentric, after all.

Right now I'm 10 days in to my self isolation - just staying home. But, when the time comes for me to resupply (hopefully not for at least another week) I'm prepared with everything but face masks, which if I dig around, I might just find some of those, too. I know I had some for when I took the wallpaper down, and had to sand off the old paste.

3. My mind went somewhere else...

I've been having a nightcap of Traverse City Whiskey Company's cherry infused whiskey every night. Delicious. Good for them on manufacturing the hand sanitizer!

5. The labels say 62 percent ethanol

But it depends on what the other 38 percent is. The early condensate from a still is called the “head” and contains a lot of methanol. Which is not safe to drink. This is usually discarded. I learned this from friends who make their own slivovitz.
