No excuses, Trump! Late testing increases fatality rate and severity of infection...

Below are two quotes from the Lancet article posted in a thread by UpInArms ("Lancet: Likelihood of survival...&quot . To me, one of the big takeaways from that article is that Trump's clown show dilly-dallying and--more than that--his rendering the U.S. unprepared for a pandemic is SCIENTIFICALLY DEMONSTRATED to have caused fatalities.

THE MEDIA NEEDS TO LEARN THAT LATE TESTING KILLS AND TO INFORM THE COUNTRY.

"Early studies have shown that delaying the detection of infected cases not only increases the probability of spreading the virus to others (most likely family members, colleagues, and friends) but also makes the infection worse in some cases, thereby increasing the case fatality ratio."

"The strategies of early detection, early diagnosis, early isolation, and early treatment that were practised in China are likely to be not only useful in controlling the outbreak, but also contribute to decreasing the case fatality ratio of the disease."

BENIGN test and a fatality. A nasal swab does NOT cause death!

The CV-19 test kit is NOT lethal. It's a neutral event that can result in a medical order for intensive intervention.

Who on earth is writing this shit?

This is like confirming the existence of Santa Claus because there's a present under the tree.

Can we just adhere to the basic practice of using rational thinking???

testing plays a role in increased fatality rate. Your claim makes common sense. But what I stated is verbatim from Lancet--one of the world's leading medical journals. And it too makes sense, and is supported by scientific study.
