Murdoch's Australian TV : Coronavirus death rate 'in line' with the flu.

The same snake oil from an 'expert expert'. Time for a law suit down under.

'Coronavirus death rate is roughly inline with the flu': Medical professor

Stanford University Medical Professor Jayanta Bhattacharya has spoken with Sky News about the varying figures which have emerged regarding COVID-19's death rate across the world saying it may be comparable to that of the flu.

"The big problem is we don't actually know how many people have the virus, or have had the virus (and) been cured," Professor Bhattacharya told Sky News host Andrew Bolt.

"The guess I'm going to give you ... I think is on the order of .05 per cent to 1.1 per cent," he said.

"Which is roughly inline with the flu".

Professor Bhattacharya is not an epidemiologist. He is a senior fellow at the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research. Perhaps that is why he does not know that the death rate for seasonal flu is .02-.03%.
