And then offered his services as consultant to governors of states which need it.

Since Trump is not listening to him anyway, I dont see the value of staying there to be used as a puppet.

about hydroxychloroquine, but Trump stepped in and wouldn't let him answer it. Trump said, "We've answered that 15 times already". What a prick.

there is not enough research to prove how effective it is. The reason why is Trump is on the gravy train with Novartis, the maker of this med. Novartis paid Michael Cohen over a million dollars to gain access to the Con after his election.

if there was some pharmaceutical angle to all this. The way he kept pushing that drug was really over the top, like a cheesy high pressure sales routine. With Trump, there is always a buck to be made.

It’s given him a daily megaphone to posture, lie, and manipulate. That’s why the ‘leader’ of the task force, Pence, has receded to the distant background. This is Trump’s latest reality show and he is milking it for everything he can. Witness his rising poll numbers. Witness the near muting of Biden and the Democrats. Trump, the P. T. Barnum of American politics, is a frighteningly good manipulator of the emotions and perceptions of the low information voter.

Dr. Fauci persists, not because he seeks fame or fortune, but because he is a highly caring doctor that thinks it’s valuable to we human beings to get as much truth out there as he can. He judges he can do this most effectively riding Trump’s bully pulpit. Frankly, though, I don’t know how he does it. I would have resigned long ago. I guess that’s the difference between heroic leaders and pedestrians like me.

He is as well known as anyone in the country right now. The media would eat it up if he were giving his own press conference every day. He could join up with Cuomo in NY or advise Biden. Either way he wouldnt lose the spotlight at all.

If Trump fires him that's a different story. He needs to have a large platform so he can ensure he has plenty of media access. Were he to work for Cuomo or some other group of Dem governors, his advice would be attacked as being partisan.

It'll drive Trumpy nuts that Fauci will speak truth to power and torch Trumpy-boy in so, so mnay ways for weeks and months on end. He should also every time call upon other WH, NSC, HHS, EPA and FEMA experts to "talk with their feet", walk out and join him opposing the OrangeAnus at every single turn.

It is for certain that Science and Economics are blending like oil and water, and Trump would rather have people die than lose his financial supporters
