Trump’s now daily Coronavirus “briefing” is the worst possible forum for getting truth to the American people in a time of crisis. He uses the free airtime to promote his presidency and defend his disastrous failure to lead in the midst of the disaster he got us into. He uses these reality TV charades to stand between real experts and a frightened nation. Networks airing these shameful performance are complicit in a rolling crime spree that may ultimately kill millions of Americans. Now he is hawking hydroxychloroquine, his new drug of choice, possibly impeding The development and approval of more promising therapeutics. Fox is already lawyering up for the lawsuits they will face for helping America let its guard down. CNN and MSNBC might want to start recruiting an army of lawyers because they are as guilty as Fox in abetting this fake president turned serial killer. Cut off his air time and you cut off his oxygen. His daily schedule for more than a week has been “executive time” followed by a nationally televised campaign rally. Please give us an open forum of experts and truth tellers who can save us with a unified, scientifically informed message. Our lives literally depend on it.
