Its a sh-- sandwich, and it was designed that way by Rick Scott, said one DeSantis advisor. It wasnt about saving money. It was about making it harder for people to get benefits or keep benefits so that the unemployment numbers were low to give the governor something to brag about.

(15,805 posts)rush to get on camera with the identical message. In shear numbers they can quickly flood the news cycle with one view, drowning out the meek, scattered voices from Dems.
Republicans have spent years perfecting their coordinated propaganda techniques. Dems are one weak voice here or there, sometimes delivering confused and contradictory messages.
Dems aren't as combative as Republicans. They understand that any major rollout of a new website can be drought with glitches that will be fixed and everything will work as intended. There's no blame or shame because it's recognized as a normal process. Republican look for opportunities (real or imagined) to smash their opponents. They seem to relish the bashing.
