I am an old man. If my last act on this planet were to cast my vote in an election,

I would be glad to cast that vote. If November comes and COVID-19 is still a risk, I will vote by mail on an absentee ballot, but if that option were not available to me, I would still vote at my polling place on election day. I would take all possible precautions, but I would go to the polls and cast my vote.

Voting is that important to me!

If I were voting there, I would thank those poll workers. But, then, I always thank poll workers for doing their part when I vote.

I decided weeks ago that I would have gone out to vote personally with mask and gloves on (my state primary would have been in April but now delayed and without no-excuse absentee ballots). My transformation from a non-voter before 2016 (voted for the first time for Hillary in 2016) to now willing to risk my own health to vote is pretty dramatic.
