Golf Kept tRump From Focusing On COVID-19, Not Impeachment, Zings GOP Group In New Ad

The latest scorcher of an attack ad by the Republican Lincoln Project concedes Donald Trump had other priorities before launching his lackluster battle against COVID-19. But he wasn’t distracted by impeachment, as he claims. Instead, he was too busy golfing and packing people into campaign rallies, according to the message released Thursday by the conservative group.

“The President’s dishonest, incompetent, and delusional press conferences have veered into disturbing territory,” Reed Galen, political strategist and co-founder of The Lincoln Project, said in a statement Thursday. “The President is aware he lacks the competency to deal with this crisis, though he refuses to hold himself accountable. Instead, he’d rather place blame for his ineptitude on an irrelevant issue.”
<snip>

Early last month, the group launched its “Grifters” series to highlight the ways in which the president’s family has financially benefited from his time in office.

So unfair. He was also busy tweeting and not testifying or producing any documents. Mc Mike Apr 2020 #4

And I still believe they could get some great mileage out of his campaign statements from last time:

The "grifters" one is hilarious. It's kind of nice to see Rick Wilson et all turn their attack dog advertising talents on Trump.

Well, he can't really do that because it's controlled at the state level, but it will make it nearly impossible to enforce because all the trumpers will just go out anyway and reopen their co. Anyone not wanting to return to close proximity to people jobs will be fired and tons of Americans kept off work because they don't want to endanger themselves, their families and their communities. Most will return anyway and risk this because otherwise they can't pay rent. This ad must run and someone desperately needs to make an ad about him reopening the country, risking all of our lives, ignoring science, REFUSING WHOLESALE TESTING, for his personal political fortunes.
