"Foreign Policy Hands Voice Disbelief At Romney Cairo Statement" (including Republicans)

Here are some fun excerpts from the article by Ben Smith at BuzzFeed:
http://www.buzzfeed.com/bensmith/foreign-policy-hands-voice-disbelief-at-romney-cai

"They were just trying to score a cheap news cycle hit based on the embassy statement and now it’s just completely blown up," said a very senior Republican foreign policy hand, who called the statement an "utter disaster" and a "Lehman moment" — a parallel to the moment when John McCain, amid the 2008 financial crisis, failed to come across as a steady leader.

"It's bad," said a former aide to Senator John McCain's 2008 presidential campaign. "Just on a factual level that the statement was not a response but preceding, or one could make the case precipitating. And just calling it a 'disgrace' doesn't really cut it. Not ready for prime time."

and this one:

A third Republican, a former Bush State Department official, told BuzzFeed, "It wasn't presidential of Romney to go political immediately — a tragedy of this magnitude should be something the nation collectively grieves before politics enters the conversation."

Romney blew it when even some Repubs think so. He just is not ready to handle any crisis, ever.

I think it is pretty telling how even many Republicans are not backing him up on this.

He takes a trip to Europe and pisses off England and a few other
countries

Now he pissing off the Repukes and smirking about it.

When I see him speak I just get this feeling of ....
I know - he's on a highschool debating team
and he's just getting his feet wet.

Now we'll see his wife come out and tell the American public
that he meant well and that she's the only one who can truely understand such a complex man.

Then, she'll take him by the hand and lead him off the stage.
Come on honney! Let's go home and you can fondle some money.
That always makes you feel better.

Which makes me realize - If I had $230M I would be doing
something far better than subjecting myself to all the ridicule!!!

Some people are truely driven!

You think he has only 230M.

I suspect it as at least four times that much, if not more. His money plus Queen Ann's combined?

I will rephrase my original statement and say:

If I had the money he had I would be doing something far more fun than running for president.

Ah, that sounds so much better!
