1. You know, Miles - You may have hit upon something there.

Maybe golf is what gives Chump the little stability he has and maybe that's what clears the demons from his head, however temporarily. Now that he's basically quarantined himself, we're seeing the results of Chump not getting out there to cheat his way along the course.

Either way, we pay.

9. It's the golf, and it's the rallies.

I think we really do need to look at the adoration he receives at the rallies in the same way we'd look at an addict getting a fix. He doesn't enjoy it as much as he needs it on a deep, pathological level, and he went cold turkey. The TV "briefings" are obviously filling that void for him, but what's missing is an auditorium of hooting and hollering loyal devotees in red hats. That, plus the golf, adds up to Sad Don. And when Don gets sad, he looks for ways to make anyone listening feel worse than he feels.

I have to wonder how our great-grandkids are going to process this when it's taught to them in schools, decades from now. I have to believe that at least a few of them will be incredulous and ask if its really fact, or fiction.

during today's "briefing", angry and defensive as always.

I got a chuckle out of the thought about this history being taught in future schools because you have to wonder how any sane non-MAGAt teacher will be able to present the information while standing at the front of the classroom shaking their head in disbelief themselves. Let's hope that Chump's followers simply are not bright enough to become teachers and are unable to pass along their version of the events of 2016-2020.

Rallies were always his go-to solution when things weren't going his way, and now he can't have them. For awhile he's been using the daily dog and pony reality show in their place, but there he doesn't have the adoring audience and even though it's a big ego platform those have been turning a bit sour on him.
