Watching Trump calling people names doesn't attract that many viewers to MSNBC I would think.

But really, there's precious little actual information to be imparted. I know that all the news outlets want to be the first to get a scoop and hate getting scooped worse than Trump hates the truth. Both MSNBC and CNN can better serve their viewers by distilling these rage-fests down to the important stuff after they're over. Shouldn't take more than 30 seconds, and the neverending stream of bullshit gets cut off before it even begins.

Now, it's possible that Trump will notice that he's not getting all the air time he used to. It's even possible that he'd retaliate by imparting some genuinely newsworthy information or giving the stage over to people who know what they're talking about. Even at that, though, how really truly valuable and original is anything going to be?
