2. It's More of a Contrast Thing

Cuomo went out of his way to be gracious to Trump. But the fact that Howard, Trump's old pal, is giving Cuomo air time and gushing over him and how he wishes that Cuomo were President etc. must drive Trump nuts. Trump is an old friend of Howard's and respected him immensely and wanted Howard's endorsement (he used to listen all the time, who knows now?). Howard declined and made it clear he was a big Hillary supporter and recently had an amazing interview with Hillary. Just prior to the Cuomo segment, they had on a Trump impersonator/comedian, it was pretty brutal. Howard has been very outspoken in his anti-Trump views lately.
