With the worse president in the WH who has flattened our economy and bungled his response to the virus resulting in thousands dead and she wants to talk about already debunked rape allegations against our nominee.

(58,785 posts)are very angry, betrayed, unhappy right now, and Ocasio wants them to turn to her. Also a much broader range of young people who've been marinated in anti-Democratic Kool-Aid all their lives and haven't learned to question it.
For the true believers, though, opposing the Democratic Party is a big part of who they are (for older ones, long before Sanders appeared). They know Democrats are corrupt corporatists same as Republicans and VP Biden a rapist, etc. As usual, our nominee proved to be a person so terrible that he only confirmed and justified their duty to oppose the depraved Democratic Party. Like Hillary.
Btw, at one forum I checked, most were saying they'd vote Green, even though none had any idea of who or what that would be. A couple were open enough to suggest they'd go for Trump as the better of two bad choices. Again. None knew who their next leader would be, lost and needing to be found.

Maybe AOC should ask TR.. why she didn't name the one she's accusing all over twitter in her police report..?

(65,173 posts)From what I saw, she was just trying to get Biden to develop a better health care plan. And she said she will eventually endorse Biden. I didnt see it as trying to weaken him.

(38,687 posts)Many share Biden's plan to use executive action to strengthen ACA and propose legislation to add needed changes while pressuring Congress to cooperate. It's a plan that takes into account that the GOP controls the Senate and that even best case scenarios say it's extremely iffy we claw back a majority in Nov.
Why jump on board M4A? It's going nowhere. AOC said a few months back that it's something she doesn't believe will ever pass in its current form.

(1,159 posts)AOC is my favorite roller coaster from hell. Sometimes she has me shouting for joy that shes fighting for the people:
. . . other times, like with this stuff, she has me shouting WTF AOC?!!!

(15,368 posts)One of my greatest disappointments in her was that she endorsed Bernie rather than Elizabeth in the Dem primaries! I thought that she had better sense than that.
I am certainly NOT an AOC "hater" and never will be. But like you, I have my dark moments with her.

(7,296 posts).... but it's her lack of experience shining through. She is a remarkable political talent. But she is not tempered. She tend to speak then think. She really needs to dial that back.

(65,173 posts)Those allegations are so ridiculous that the media wont even give them attention. I think it was a mistake for sure for her to bring them up. I like her a lot and glad she was a Bernie supporter, but I can admit when shes wrong.

(3,433 posts)was a hero of the left, even at the expense of the party or the country. But this one time when I read what she said, I felt like she was just being completely honest. She didn't accuse Joe of anything; she didn't say that she believed the accuser. She just stated that it should be taken seriously.

(53,776 posts)debunked and should not be taken seriously. AOC has to know that. If she doesn't she's not on top of things as she should be.
WTF? She's an elected representative of the Democratic Party and gives credibility to questionable rumors of the Democratic Party's presidential nominee in the midst of our campaign to get rid of the worse president ever? No way is that ok.

against our presidential nominee credibility? She's not just giving voice to repug talking points, she's also giving Fox news and 24/7 hate radio ammo against Biden for the campaign.
Please!

The accuser's story has changed many times and the allegation has been debunked. AOC should have had better sense than to get bated into giving the charge credibility.
