Social distancing may need to continue to 2022, Harvard study finds

A study from Harvard has concluded that some form of off-and-on social distancing may need to continue until 2022 while a sufficient percent of the population builds up an immunity to the new coronavirus.

Researchers from Harvard's T.H. Chan School of Public Health looked at two previous coronavirus outbreaks and projected that "recurrent wintertime outbreaks" would occur after the initial wave is over.

"Absent other interventions, a key metric for the success of social distancing is whether critical care capacities are exceeded. To avoid this, prolonged or intermittent social distancing may be necessary into 2022," the study's abstract reads. It is published in the journal Science.

What shitstain doesn't realize is that ecen if they reopen businesses that are non essential, a lot of smart folks aren't going to jump on the spend $ band wagon.

Would you go get a haircut or go to a sporting event or concert?

Hell no you wouldn't. Nor would I.

Some will, no doubt. May end up being natural selection in real time but, sadly, so many will suffer & die because of the stupidity.

Glad you & Mrs. Sherman are being safe. Same lifestyle here, which, to be honest, is not much different in many ways than "normal" for me because violent crime is off the charts in the Memphis region. They keep letting the human garbage back out of jail. Seems someone wants chaos & crime.
