The team also made the design information available for anyone to download. The reaction was almost immediate.

"There was a lot of enthusiasm" since it was "made available as a downloadable, shareable file that anyone could print," Dyer said.

built from readily available parts they picked up at the local Gainesville Home Depot. The components cost somewhere between $150-$250 (depending on where they are sourced), and it took about two hours to assemble. It's being tested now for durability, mostly to see how long it will function before it eventually fails.
